She studied with John Grabach (life model) with Julia Schleicher (oil, still life and landscape) and in plein air and studio with Bernard Abelew (oil). She has attended many excellent workshops over the years. Her background was primarily in oil and drawing, but for the last 20 years she has worked and held classes in watercolor, both in New Jersey and Vermont, where the Breedens spend their summers. Eve is a member of the Manasquam River Group of Artists, the Ocean County Guild in Island Heights and the Laurelton Art Society. Eve has been teaching for about 40 years and is currently teaching at Shore Hobby Center and for M.A.R.G.A. at the Sea Girl Lighthouse.
"For the last twenty years or so watercolor has been my main media of choice. The flow of the water, the brush and the wonderful colors more than satisfy my need to create paintings, inside or outside. Also working with students and seeing them feel the joy of creating is to me very enjoyable" Eve has paintings in many private collections in New Jersey, England, Italy, California, New mexico, Calgary, Alberta, and Montreal.
